    Coimbatore (also known as Kovai, Manchester of South India), is the second largest city in the state of Tamil Nadu.     Coimbatore located at the foothills of the Nilgiris on the banks of the river Noyyal, surrounded by mountains and forests on the western and northern sides, Coimbatore is the second largest city in the state of Tamil Nadu state.

    Gandhipuram is at the heart of the city which carries three bus stations. One for town bus which runs inside the district, one for private bus that travels with in the state and the third for inter state bus station that travels to the neighboring states of Kerala, Karnataka and Andhrapradesh.

    By Air : Airport in Coimbatore is located at Peelamedu, 10ksm from the city centre; it operates regular flights to Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi and Madurai.

    By Rail : Coimbatore is a major railway junction and has trains to Chennai, Rameswaram, Madurai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kanyakumari, Kozhikode, Mettupalayam, Kochi and Delhi.

    By Road : Coimbatore is well connected by roads with all major places in South India. State Transport Corporation provides mini luxury coach buses between various points in the city and airport. Coimbatore is 497 km far from Chennai and 330 km from Bangalore.
