  • Yelagiri Hills

    Yelagiri is a hill station Vellore district of Tamil Nadu, India, situated off the Vaniyambadi-Tirupattur road. It is one of the most famous place for trekkers in India. Trekkers are attracted by adventure sports such as paragliding and rock climbing. The hill station is located at a height of 1410 meters above sea level and surrounded by orchards, rose-gardens, and green valleys.

    Yelagiri comprises 14 hairpin, 14 hamlets and a number of temples spread over a couple of hills. The seventh bend is special, since it offers the view of the slopes of the mountain and the green forests that carpet the hill. Tribal people live in villages in these hills. Their habits and the structure of their houses are very unique and attract tourists.

    An advantage is that Yelagiri Hills isn't infested by touristy-types, who prefer hill stations with swanky shopping malls, plush restaurants and stuff like that. It's peaceful and quiet remote surroundings.
